This week, we imagined that we were living in Anglo Saxon times. The children had to find out what daily life was like and then use their developing powers of historical empathy to write an account of their day. They were able to use the experience of their visit to West Stow to really bring their accounts to life.
In English, we have continued reading the Beowulf Saga. We have been thinking about, visualising and writing about the monster, Grendel.
In maths, we have been ordering decimal numbers using the < and > symbols. We are now thinking about how to apply our knowledge to real life situations, such as money.
After learning how to weave last week, we have started to weave our own fabrics with wool.
Learning from our mistakes in Art with our Anglo-Saxon weaving! (They're starting to take shape though!)
