Weekly News 12th December 2019

This week, we have been writing newspaper articles to tell the story of the Great Northern Race. This has brought our English work for this half term to a conclusion. The children have really enjoyed this book and have produced some brilliant writing.

We have also been looking at how Christians celebrate Christmas around the world, exploring some of the wonderful customs and traditions.

In maths we have been using bar models to help us understand word problems. Get your child to explain how a bar model works to you.

Tomorrow, the children will have their '66' tables test. As always, the target is to get one more correct than they did the previous day. Perhaps they could even join the '66' club.

It has been another excellent half term with your amazing children. We would particularly like to thank you once again for all the help that you have given the children with their home learning this half term. We have been so pleased with what they have done and, more importantly, they have been so pleased with what they have achieved.
