Weekly News 21st November 2019

This week, we have been totally terrified by the huge Kraken that terrorised Shen and Sika. We have written class poems to which we we have all contributed. Here is Giraffes poem:

The ocean king is the Kraken
An unlit figure from out of the ice
Endless purple dark tentacles. Sucking everything,
Gigantic monster.

Deep dangerous eyes
Colossal twisting head
Terrifying, lethal, big and strong.

Huge, threatening, fierce.
Big beak gaping.
Razor sharp.
Chilly as ice.

Strong deadly. glaring up
Twirling twist
Sharp.
Staring pupil red like a ball of fire.
Tougher than wire
Observing from cold ice

An unsafe creature under the sea.

And here is the Lions:

Big, giant, colossal destroyer, sleeping in the deep,

And every True Winter, he’s looking for something to eat.
Polar bears and killer whales are not safe, from this enormous beast.
If they’re unlucky, they’ll be his next feast.

He is fast asleep, the Kraken, in the deep.
A massive monster, a fierce beast,
A legendary squid.
Giant colossal eyes, towering tentacles twitching, as strong as a rock.

Killer Kraken rises from the deep dark hole,
Looking for his breakfast.
Tentacles moving, searching, horrifying.
Then, the stupendous squid, finding nothing, vanishes back into the deep.

In maths, we have continued to challenge ourselves to use

the seven and nine times tables facts to solve problems. We

have also encouraged the children to use 'Hit the Button' to

practice their number facts to 100. Please help them to do

this at home, if you can.

We are now starting to see some of the home learning

around the Pugs of the Frozen North. Thanks for all the

support that you are giving the children.
