Weekly News 30.01.20

This week, the children have had lots of fun making (and eating) flap jacks, or as we liked to call them- Trail food. We tried to design a yummy snack to take on a trek up a mountain, which contained lots of energy giving ingredients. We learnt about how oats in particular, but also apricots and raisins are packed full of nutrients to give us lots of energy. We made them without sugar, to make them even healthier.
In Maths, we have been learning about area. We have been doing lots of problem solving and maths mastery to help us with our investigations and stretch our brains.
The Geography this week has helped learn how to use grid references on maps and our general mapping skills are really improving.
In English, we have been looking closely at the structure of a sentence. There are children who need to be reminded about using full stops and capital letters sometimes, so this is something we need to try to conquer together.
       Have a lovely weekend.
